MONTHLY CHURCH PRAYER MEETINGS

People

Once a month, on the second Thursday, we take a break from our weekly bible studies to meet altogether for corporate prayer. We start with a meal, taking the opportunity to deepen our friendships over food and then extend the fellowship over coffee after praying for each other by name.

PROCLAMATION

On Sundays, we spend most of our prayer time praying for world and local needs before ourselves. At the prayer meeting, we turn this around to pray for our church body - so that we would rely on the power of the Holy Spirit for the central task of taking God’s word to God’s world in all our plans, programmes and personal relationships.

psalm

Before we talk to God in prayer, we listen to him speak to us through his word in the Bible, often from a psalm. This prompts us to dedicate much of our time to praise him for who he is and what he’s done through great King David’s greater Son - both in the past and in how he’s answered our prayers in the last month.

Partners

We recognise that we’re not even able to take the gospel to the other side of Blantyre - let alone to the ends of the earth without the partnership of others! We’re so grateful for the encouragement of our gospel partners, both locally and internationally, and commit to thanking God for them and praying for their needs each month.
